TheRevver Motorcycle Information

Motorcycles are one of the best inventions of mankind. The experience of riding a motorcycle is second to none, and even after decades of riding, it never bores. However, riding a bike can be demanding. Taking proper care of your metal monster is likely both expensive and time-consuming. And if you mess up, you can literally gamble your life away. I’ve put this website together to help some of the newer riders find the info and guides they need. I hope it helps!

At TheRevver we think the most important part of riding a motorcycle is safety. Sounds boring, but keeps you enjoying riding for much longer. Motorcycle safety consists of three main factors. Firstly, your protective gear. Secondly, the state of your motorcycle, and lastly your own riding style. We’ve got articles on all three topics.

Safety gear is not just wearing a full face helmet. The most often overlooked piece of gear are the motorcycle overpants, as people often figure that just jeans will do. They don’t, and leg injuries are not only some of the most common injuries, but also the kind of injury that will haunt you the rest of your life. So a good set of motorcycle pants is a must.

The second factor, motorcycle maintenance is easy to do but often overlooked. Using the best motorcycle oil combined with good tires and a solid motorcycle chain will improve your handling (and MPG) by so much. Don’t forget to regularly use your motorcycle chain lube either.

The last factor, but definitely not the least, is your own riding style. Being aware of the biggest dangers on the road can prevent quite a few accidents.

Also if you settled down and got kids, you know that a motorcycle is no longer the answer to everything. So if you’re looking for a car care guide we got you covered as well.

How to change your motorcycle oil

You should change your motorcycle oil once every 3000 to 7000 miles. Changing your motorcycle oil and filter should take no more than 20 minutes. There are a few things that can go wrong, though, which is why I wrote this tutorial.

How to pick up a fallen motorcycle

Picking up a fallen motorcycle might seem like an impossible task if you got a 600+ lbs monster. However, with a few smart tricks, it is possible to lift even the biggest motorcycles with little effort. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t seen a gym in your life. Ever.

Other Motorized Vehicles

Aside from motorcycles we pretty much love everything with an engine. A lot of fun can be had with a good mini bike, as well as off-road fun with a nice quad. Motorcycles are still the king of the road of course, but in some situations there’s more than just motorcycles. For example, if you’re looking for something that can cover short distances easily, a motorcycle may be overkill. Cycling isn’t for everyone and electric bicycles are pretty expensive. Our favourite contender are street legal scooters, which we’ve written about as well.
